ALUMNI SUMMIT 1.0:
Alumni Affairs of BITS Pilani K K Birla Goa Campus conducted the first ever Alumni Summit 1.0 on the 30th of August 2015 that witnessed speakers who had established themselves in various fields of life. They reminisced about their life back at the BITS campuses and their journey thereafter.
Seven speakers were:
- Anugula Rakesh Reddy– a BJP Youth Wing politician and the founder of Nirmaan
- Akash Gupta– the founder of Grey Orange Robotics
- Jenish Mehta– a Graduate Student at California Institute of Technology
- Ajay Chaturvedi– the founder of HarVa and a published Author
- Nikita Bhardia– an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and the founder of Udaan
- Harish Sivaramakrishnan – the lead singer of the band Agam
- Garv Malik– a stand-up comedian and founder of OpenMics

ALUMNI SUMMIT 2.0:
The second edition – Alumni Summit 2.0 was conducted on 28th of August, 2016.
Seven speakers were:
- Kartik Aneja, CEO and Co-Founder at Nayi Disha Studios
- Rishabh Goel, Associate Relationship Manager at Prodigy Finance
- Ankit Taparia, Co-Founder of Teramatrix Technologies
- Sanchit Sethi, CEO and Founder of StayUncle
- Prakhar Bindal, CEO & founder of NameCart(formerly Axsiom)
- Bhaskar E V, Under-Secretary to Ministry of Finance, Government of India
- Nikhil Tavora, Former Match Coordinator & Operations Executive at FC Goa

METANOIA – The journey of Change: 3rd Annual BITS Alumni Summit:
Keeping in mind its resolute mission to keep the alumni of BITS connected to their Alma mater and to maintain the integrity and strength of the vast alumni community, BITS Alumni Affairs Division – Student Team Goa conducted the second edition of Alumni Summit on 26th of August, 2017. The speakers reminisced about their life back at BITS campuses and their journey thereafter.

METANOIA – 4th Annual BITS Alumni Summit:
Alumni, for a university, are like branches of trees that bear the juiciest fruits. They are the source of a university’s name and fame. They are the pride of a university. This weekend, BITS Pilani K K Birla Goa Campus conducted the fourth edition of annual Alumni Summit- METANOIA. BITS Pilani, known globally for its strong and extremely well connected alumni base, continues to grow with nurturing of the university’s well versed staff, administration and faculty. Today, BITSians can be seen globally as pioneers not only in the field of engineering and science, but also in entrepreneurship, film making, music, sports and literature. This Sunday, Goa saw a confluence of eminent BITS alumni.
The opening speaker was Ms. Shruthi Vishwanath. Trained extensively in Carnatic music, she is an extremely talented musician, composer and educator. A disciple of the works of Kabir, and the mystic poets, she is now exploring the intersections of classical and folk. She inspired students by performing live during the event and through her incredible story of struggle and perseverance.
The next speaker was Mr. Jatin Adlakha. He is the founder and director of WanderGupt. His company organises free-flowing travel with minimum planning which makes the trip full of spell bounding surprises. A full-time traveller, travel writer and storyteller. Jatin has surely found his passion and purpose of life in travelling.
Mr. Chintan Zalani, the third speaker is one of the highest paid content writers in the country. His areas of interest include psychology, self-improvement, philosophy and digital marketing. Chintan writes for publications such as The Times of India and AOI Huffington Media catering his clients through his website. Being from the Goa campus itself, he shared his fond memories of the place and how it shaped his future.
The fourth speaker was Mr. Sameer Qayoom. He is the perfect combination of sports and technology. Currently the youngest Program Manager at Microsoft, Hyderabad, he is also a sports entrepreneur and a football enthusiast. The founder of Kashmir Football Festival, he has helped the state organize different sports events.
The next speaker was Mr. Mani Shankar. He is the proud Guinness World Record Holder for the most simultaneous live holographic shows. An extremely experienced member of the film industry, he also owns a production house- Bhairavi Films. Mani Shankar finds solace in writing emotional films with great social relevance that direct his audience towards soul-searching and self-introspection, while also creating holographic ad films.
Next up came the Founder and CEO of CareerGuide.com, Ms. Surabhi Dewra. Her venture is a marketplace for various students across the country to interact with career experts and get the much needed counselling. Her company won the ‘Best Career Guidance Platform’ award in 2012.
The final speaker of the event was Mr. Prithiviraj Chavan, Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the term November 2010 to September 2014. He is currently the MLA from the South Karad constituency. He has also made significant contributions to research in the field of Indian language computing. He encouraged students to participate in politics through his story.
Students, who attended the event found a source of inspiration, felt a kick of motivation when they saw the glitter in the eyes of these successful alumni. The Institution, the alumni and students hope that BITS lives up to the brand it has created and will nurture the stories of the flag-bearers of tomorrow.
