BITSAA International has announced a new Merit-Cum-need scholarship hosted by BITSAA UK community from the year 2023. Mr. Naveen Patha from 1996 batch, along with Vidya Narasimhan of 1992 batch and Prabhjyot Singh Sodhi of 2013 batch have initiated the scholarship for the period of five years. More than 30 generous donors from the BITSAA UK community have already pledged their support to this effort. The scholarship commenced from September 2023 and will be awarded semester basis
The scholarship is initiated with the funds raised during BITSians’ Day Giving Campaign by BITSAA International, an annual event tied to BITSians’ Day gathering around the world. The goal is to extend additional financial support to the existing MCN scholarships at each campus.
The Bhushan Bhatia Scholarships have been instituted by Brij Bhushan, an alumni from the class of 1964. Brij Bhushan is currently retired from Reston Consulting Group, which he founded in 1986. RCG provides Systems Integration services in the field of telecommunications to the US Federal Government. Brij and his wife Champa (also a BITS alumnus) live in the suburbs of Washington DC and have three grown up children Anju, Anita and Anup. The name of the scholarship has been derived from Brij’s surname and his wife Champa Bhushan’s maiden surname Bhatia.
Dr. Sudesh Kumar Gajulapalli and Mrs. Padmaja S. Kumar in loving memory of their son Mr. VAIBHAV GAJULAPALLI (Goa, 07-11), an alumnus of BITS Pilani K K Birla Goa Campus, have established one (1) 100% scholarship for Male student at the BITS Pilani K K Birla Goa campus to financially low-income background.
