Director’s Tea Party

The Director’s Tea Party (DTP) is one of the most cherished traditions organized by the Alumni Relations Division and the Student Alumni Relations Cell, bringing together students and faculty to celebrate an important milestone in the student journey. Held twice each academic year, the event serves as a farewell to those preparing to leave campus, while also providing an opportunity to reflect on the memories, friendships, and experiences that have shaped their time at the institute.

The evening begins with an address by the Director, whose words often capture both the achievements of the graduating cohort and the possibilities that lie ahead. This is followed by a dinner at the Visitor’s Guest House lawns, where students and faculty come together in an informal setting to share conversations, reconnect, and celebrate the years spent as part of the institute community.

As students prepare to take their next steps (whether in industry, higher studies, or beyond) DTP offers a fitting send-off, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another while reinforcing the lifelong connection they share with their alma mater.
